However in the final round they lost 3-14 to the Czech Republic, 5-14 to the Netherlands and 5-10 against Spain to finish in sixth place in the final standings.

During the 2016 season French national teams have finished in fifth place at the U12 European Championship in Trebic, in second place in the U15 European Championship in Chartres/Rouen and in fifth place at the U18 European Championship in Gijon.
