Inaugural Nordic Baseball Open to be played in Estonia

4 national teams participating in tournament for developing baseball countries

The Estonian Baseball and Softball Federation will host the first Nordic Baseball Open (NBO) in Kostivere, Estonia (20km east of the Estonian capital Tallinn). Along with Estonia the national teams of Finland, Norway and Latvia will also take part. Six games will be played June 5th and 6th with the final to be played on June 7th.

The purpose of this tournament is to give the Nordic countries playing in the CEB (Confederation of European Baseball) C-pool an additional tournament to assist in the development of their players and programs. The NBO will be played in the future in all the participating countries in the off years between CEB tournaments with the host country rotating on a regular basis.

The tournament will be run solely through the efforts of the participating nations’ own umpires, scorekeepers and organizers and is sanctioned by CEB and WBSC's Baseball Division (World Baseball Softball Confederation).

Friday, June 5
Game 1: Norway – Estonia 11:30
Game 2: Finland – Latvia 15:00
Game 3: Estonia – Latvia 18:30

Saturday, June 6
Game 4: Finland – Norway 11:30
Game 5: Latvia – Norway 15:00
Game 6: Estonia – Finland 18:30

Sunday, June 7
Game 7: FINAL – 1 vs. 2 11:30
