Dovydas Neverauskas becomes the first ever born and raised player from Lithuania in Major League Baseball

24 years old Dovydas NEVERAUSKAS became, on Monday 24, April 2017, the first ever born and raised Lithuanian player in Major League Baseball.

The native of Vilnius is a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates organization since 2010 and was part of the "futures" game in 2016 with the World Team.

A right-handed pitcher, his fastball toped 97 mph in his relief appearance against the Chicago Cubs. He was charged with one earned run in two innings, recording his first ever strikeout (see the boxscore).
