CEB and Major League Baseball are partnering to start a significant new program that will bring essential coaching expertise to Europe’s developing baseball nations: the CEB Development Coach Program.
The CEB Development Coach Program will use Europe’s best baseball coaches to assist Federations with their development plans. CEB Coaches will be sent to selected nations for 2-4 week assignments to work on carefully planned development projects. These coaches will use their expertise, their experience and their understanding of European baseball to make lasting changes in their host countries.
The CEB Development Coach Program is based upon the MLB Envoy Coach Program and will work in tandem with it in the coming years. Since its inception in 1991, MLB Envoy Coaches have completed more than 550 assignments in 60 countries around the world. MLB Envoys will continue to be assigned to European countries in 2007 and CEB Development Coaches will allow even more nations to get the valuable coaching expertise they need.
