Successful MLB and LLB clinic in Poland
By: Jason HolowatyMajor League Baseball and Little League Baseball hosted a successful coaches’ clinic over the weekend of October 26 – 28 at the Little League Baseball European Leadership Training Centre in Kutno, Poland. In total, 34 coaches from Poland, Lithuania, Ireland and Greece attended the session.
The clinic featured guest presenters Pat Doyle (MLB), Bill Holmberg (FIBS Baseball Academy), Martin Brunner (Regensburg Baseball Academy) and Jason Holowaty (MLB) who covered topics from strength and conditioning to pitching to practice organization. The clinics were supported by CEB, who assisted with promotions for the weekend.
Response from the visiting coaches was overwhelmingly positive, with one Polish coach commenting, “All sessions were very educational and instructors were very professional. Most issues discussed in a classroom were exercised on the field. Presentation materials were very clear and easy to understand.”
Plans for a third edition of the MLB / LLB Coaches Clinic in 2008 are already being discussed. For more information on this program, contact Beata Kaszuba, Little League Baseball’s European Region Director:
