Euros on TV
By: CEBThe Confederation of European Baseball, in conjunction with the KNBSB, NOS and Eurosport 2/Eurosport Asia Pacific will be producing and broadcasting 4 games of the European Championship. The event took off on September 7th and the Championship Game will be played September 16th, with games being held in the cities of Rotterdam, Haarlem and Utrect. 12 teams (divided into 2 groups) are participating in the event, with Italy being the returning champion. The top 6 (Italy, Spain, Sweden from group 'A'; The Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic from group 'B', will compete for the medals starting Thursday 13th.
The addition of the production will make available one of International Baseball’s great showcases to over 70 million baseball fans globally. ‘We are very happy to make these games available,” stated acting CEB President Petr Ditrich from Rotterdam, Netherlands. Ditrich also stated, "This development demonstrates the growing popularity of the game in Europe. With the addition of the World Baseball Classic Qualifier in the European sphere of competition, we look set for great gains in interest and participation."

Game times are:
On Thursday September 13th: Sweden-Netherlands live from 7.30 to 10.00 pm (CET) on the Pan European version
On Friday September 14th: Netherlands-Spain live from 7.30 to 10.00 pm (CET) in Western and Southern Europe only
On Saturday 15th: Italy-Netherlands live from 7.30 to 10 pm (CET) in Western and Southern Europe and from 8.30 to 10.00 pm (CET) on the Pan European Version
Final on Sunday 16th: live from 1.00 pm (CET) on the Pan European version
