International Youth Baseball Summer Tournament
By: Andrew Novak (IYB)Also this year continued IYBST (International Youth Baseball Summer Tournament) and everything worked perfectly. This summer the fifth year took place in the complex Eagles Prague. Great fields, the perfect baseball, great friendship atmosphere and compared to previous years also the weather was perfect for baseball.
Prestigious tournament participated teams:
Eagles Prague (CZ)
IYB Farmers (CZ)
Hungary U21
Puspose Driven (USA)
Sweden Angels (SWE)
WP Blazers United (EU)
The whole tournament was a great show for the fans of baseball. Matches were full of twists and great actions. It can also be seen five homeruns, hard hits and incredible catches in the field. Pitchers also demonstrated incredible performances.
The final match between the Eagles Prague and the Purpose Driven, had a very good level, but the strength of the U.S. team was noticeableand so they could keep the 7:3 victory. But the Eagles didn´t resign and fought very bravely to the last moment of the game and showed that the Czech baseball has future.
IYBST Tournament 2012 is honored that it was visited by former MLB player Thomas Johnson / Minnesota Twins / and also enjoys repetitive interest and a visit from Corey Lee /Texas Rangers /, which with the other coaches was a great contribution during Wednesday´s training and preparation . As a pitcher passed valuable advice to young players.

Best pitcher – Colton Duttweiler (USA)
Best hitter – Filip Bartak (CZ)
MVP – Simon Perina (CZ)
This year IYBST is behind us and we are looking forward to next summer, where we meet with a lot of other teams and friends around baseball.
